Cambium Networks’ XV2-22H Wi-Fi 6 Wall Plate Access Point (AP) is designed for Wi-Fi networks found in hotel guest rooms, dormitory housing, long-term healthcare, multi-dwelling units (MDU), and other applications where a micro-cell Wi-Fi access point is desirable. Small, compact rooms present a challenge to designing good Wi-Fi coverage. When the Wi-Fi access point is placed outside the room, the high RF attenuation doors, walls, floors, and other materials block or reflect the signal, often resulting in poor coverage within the room, particularly for low-powered devices such as a smart Cambium Networks™ Confidential Restricted 2 phone. The XV2-22H includes gigabit Ethernet ports to connect devices such as a TV set-top box and PoE-out to connect a VoIP phone directly to the Wall Plate AP. To connect IOT devices, the XV2-22H has a dual-purpose radio that operates as either a Bluetooth radio or an 802.15.4 Zigbee radio. Mounting the Wall Plate AP is a snap. Each box contains a single-gang mounting bracket (junction boxes that measure 2 x 3 inches, 51 mm x 76 mm) and a 50-mm-long RJ45 cable. When technology is upgraded from Wi-Fi 5 to Wi-Fi 6, the XV2-22H supports the same single-gang mounting bracket and the same flush wall-mounting bracket as the Cambium Wi-Fi 5 e425H and e430H Wall Plate APs. Simply remove the existing Wi-Fi 5 Wall Plate and attach the new XV2-22H to the same mounting bracket.* Manage the XV2-22H using cnMaestro™ (cloud or on-premises), XMS-Cloud, or Swift app-based management.
